Quartet of active pets for Bounty Bay Online
Four new pets and an extended pet system to arrive with ‘Beyond the Horizon’
In ‘Beyond the Horizon’ Frogster is to expand the pet system of Bounty Bay Online with various new functions and will introduce four new pets. Hell Wolf, Ice Fairy, Shadow Reaper and Wild Bull will become available to players as faithful companions in the fourth quarter of 2009 as a part of the comprehensive expansion. Along with traditional functions and values such as Loyalty, Health, Experience, or Pet Level, the new pets will also have so-called ‘additional attributes’ such as ‘Damage Bonus’ and ‘Critical Hit’. Slots in the interface of the four newcomers will enable players to fit equipment or to teach them exclusive skills. Thanks to the new companions having their own inventories, they offer additional storage space for the main character. With basic commands such as ‘Attack’ or ‘Follow’, owners can control their pets either via the pet menu or by using the action bar. A separate pet action bar allows players to arrange the pet quartet’s exclusive skills comfortably and execute these from there.
The four new creatures can be summoned using a special whistle which will be available in the Item Shop. With all their supporting functions, the pets are rather more than just passive companions. As brave protectors, untiring hunters and strong combatants, they are controlled in parallel with the main character and thus are always actively at the players’ sides. But so that their pets don’t take flight, or even die, players need take care of their pets and feed them attentively.
Frogster is going to publish Bounty Bay Online ‘Beyond the Horizon’ in the fourth quarter of 2009 according to current plans. Besides the active pet system, the expansion will contain the new continent South America, six new towns, five new character classes, new instances, new PvP arenas and tournaments and new mini-games. In keeping with its predecessors, ‘Beyond the Horizon’ will be available free of charge. Players can obtain regular bulletins about the up-coming expansion at a special info web page: http://bth.bountybayonline.de.

New character classes for Bounty Bay Online
Five classes with special abilities in upcoming expansion ‘Beyond the Horizon’
The next big expansion of Bounty Bay Online will integrate five character classes with their individual special abilities into the historical world of exploration. Each of the five new classes Royal Military Officer, Imperial Guardian, Caribbean Pirate, Treasure Hunter and Armed Businessman, will receive its own individual skill tree in ‘Beyond the Horizon’. Using talent points, which can be acquired through applying their abilities, players can further expand on their special skills in the three areas of land combat, sea combat, and production (crafting). Players can drag & drop the active skills of the new classes such as certain special attacks into their skill bar and directly execute them from there as required. Passive Skills for the new character classes act as a permanent ‘buff’ or bonus.
Upon meeting the first NPC in Athens in a new Tutorial Quest, beginners will have the choice from one of the five character classes in the upcoming expansion ‘Beyond the Horizon’. A class trainer in the city will further instruct them in on-going use of the new system as the quest series progresses. Advanced players can choose one of the five classes in addition to the abilities they already learned and thereby complement these with the new special functions. All five character classes are playable as either male or female game characters. The choice of character class has no influence on the outward appearance of the characters. But all of the five classes can acquire an impressive new equipment set that awaits them as booty to reward success in high level instances, or as a reward for the victory in a PvP tournament.
Frogster is going to publish the expansion ‘Beyond the Horizon’ with its many new features in both German and English language versions. A little later French players of Bounty Bay Online will also be able to check out the new content, such as the new continent South America, six new cities, the five new character classes, the active pet system, new instances, new PvP arenas and tournaments, new ranking systems and new mini-games. In keeping with its predecessors, ‘Beyond the Horizon’ will be available free of charge. Circumnavigate the globe via Cape Horn
In ‘Beyond the Horizon’ Frogster is going to expand Bounty Bay Online with South America and six new cities
The largest ever expansion for Bounty Bay Online is set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2009 under the name of ‘Beyond the Horizon’. Right from first glance the add-on will integrate a significant geographical expansion of the historical explorer and sailor world. With South America, experienced players will receive a completely new continent as a destination for their voyages of exploration. Six new port cities ranging across the western coasts of South and North America serve as focus points for a vibrant trade with the new world.
For the first time ocean adventurers will have the opportunity to sail right around the whole world in ‘Beyond the Horizon’ using the Cape Horn route. Passing by the village-like ‘Magellan Supply Station’ on the tip of South America, players will be able to arrive at San Diego. Those who venture further up north will discover the Mayan capital of Salinas to be an important hub of the expansion. The tropical metropolis represents the showplace for a high level quest line which leads player groups past snakes, Maya guardians and other dangerous creatures in a jungle-draped Mayan instance with some valuable treasures. Following Salinas players reach the scenic Cruz in Middle America as well as San Francisco, the first glamorous and sophisticated city on America’s west coast – each city featuring its own trading port. In the far north players who aren’t too shy of the cold can discover the snowy Seward and its off-shore icebergs on the Alaskan coast.
Frogster is going to publish the expansion ‘Beyond the Horizon’ with its many new features in both German and English language versions. A little later French players of Bounty Bay Online will also be able to check out the new content, such as five new character classes, the active pet system, new instances, new PvP arenas and tournaments, new ranking system and new mini-games. Large extension for Bounty Bay Online on the horizon
Frogster heads for release of major expansion “Beyond the horizon” for Bounty Bay Online in Q4 2009
With a significant expansion of the world of Bounty Bay Online, Berlin-based publisher Frogster is about to stir the quiet waters of the Pacific Ocean! Scheduled for release in Q4 2009 “Beyond the Horizon” will add six new cities on the shores of North and South America and much more new content and new features to the historic sailor MMO world. For the first time ever, players will have the opportunity to circumvent the world by taking the route around Cape Hoorn and across the Pacific. Available in German and English first, French players will be able to explore the new content a few months later. Like all previous add-ons, “Beyond the Horizon” will be available for free. The website http://www.bth.bountybayonline.com is online now and will provide information about the upcoming add-on regularly.
On their journey across the seas, players will travel to the legendary lands of the Maya in “Beyond the Horizon”, where, amidst imposing pyramids, players will find a new challenging, instanced, quest line. More instances like the Labyrinth on Crete or the Caves of Gibraltar await players following the compelling new quest lines.
Moreover, players will be able to choose from five new character classes called professions in “Beyond the Horizon”. Where players only could advance their skills and careers so far, they can now choose to become a Treasure Hunter, Armed Businessman, Royal Military Officer, Imperial Guardian or Caribbean Pirate. Every profession has their own skill-tree of specialties that can be raised by allocating skill-points.
Another important new feature of the historical world of sea-faring adventurers will be several merchants alliances like the Iberian or the Arabian merchant alliance: Individual players or complete guilds will be able to join them. Together they are then able to access special quest lines that yield exceptional rewards. Additional high-lights of “Beyond the Horizon” are a new wedding system, new wardrobe/clothes sets, several new mini-games, over 40 new main quests and several new pets. Furthermore the new ranking systems of “Beyond the Horizon” will appeal to those players who always wanted to know who are the strongest guilds, the best land-lubbing fighters, the best fishermen or the wealthiest players overall!
